Brooklyn Botanic Garden Visitor Center Wins National ASLA Honor Award

WEISS/MANFREDI's Brooklyn Botanic Garden Visitor Center has received the American Society of Landscape Architecture's National Honor Award.

A piece of living landscape, the Brooklyn Botanic Garden Visitor Center is conceived as an inhabitable topography that defines a new threshold between the city and the constructed landscapes of the fifty-two-acre garden. The Center includes an exhibition gallery, information lobby, orientation room, gift shop, cafe, and a multi-purpose events space.

The Visitor Center recently achieved a LEED Gold Certification and has been recognized with the American Institute of Architects New York State Design Award, as well as the Municipal Art Society's MASterworks Award for Best New Urban Amenity.
