Singh Center for Nanotechnology Cited in WSJ's "the Best of 2013: Architecture"

The WEISS/MANFREDI-designed Singh Center for Nanotechnology at the University of Pennsylvania has been featured in THE WALL STREET JOURNAL's "Best of 2013: Architecture." The building was recognized with six other noteworthy projects by David Chipperfield Architects, Morphosis, Tod Williams Billie Tsien Architects, H3 Hardy, Renzo Piano, and Herzog & de Meuron.

WSJ's Julie Iovine writes "...the Singh Center goes way beyond the basics of a research lab, giving unconventional shape to workaday spaces—stairways lined with small balconies furnished with seating; meeting rooms wrapped in glass and cantilevered in space. It's enough to persuade one that architecture really can prompt the kind of nonlinear thinking that leads to discovery."
