Weiss/Manfredi in the International Architecture Biennale

The WEISS/MANFREDI-designed Taekwondo Park in Muju, South Korea will be featured in the 2014 International Architecture Biennale in Venice, Italy, curated by Rem Koolhaas. Following the theme of Absorbing Modernity: 1914-2014, the OfficeUS Repository exhibition presents projects by American architects working abroad. WEISS/MANFREDI is one of a series of American firms that have been significant in the international applications of American modernization. Models of Taekwondo Park will be on view at The Biennale from June 7th until November 23rd.

Situated in the mountains of Korea, Taekwondo Park is designed to celebrate the history and culture of Korea, the principles of Taekwondo, and the site's dramatic topography. The Taekwondo Park establishes a dynamic gateway to the physical and philosophical world of Taekwondo, becoming an athletic and cultural destination for 70 million practitioners from around the world.
