Nelson-Atkins Museum Lecture: Public Natures - Envisioning a Cultural District

Marion Weiss and Michael Manfredi have been invited to deliver the 2014 Mary Atkins Lecture at the Nelson-Atkins Museum of Art. They will lecture on their work which is at the forefront of redefining the relationships between landscape, architecture, infrastructure, and art on October 23rd at 6:00 p.m.

The lecture is in conjunction with a public presentation and discussion of WEISS/MANFREDI's concept plan to create a cultural district in Kansas City. The plan seeks to create cultural connections through the lens of art and performance.
The annual lecture series, now in its 17th season, honors Mary McAfee Atkins who's generosity helped found the Nelson-Atkins Museum of Art.
