Sylvan Theater Wins a Chicago Anthenaeum Award

The Sylvan Theater at the Washington Monument in Washington D.C., the competition-winning design by WEISS/MANFREDI and OLIN, has received the 2015 Chicago Athenaeum International Architecture Award. This prestigious award acknowledges excellence in design, construction, and planning by promoting sustainable practices at all scales. The 60 award recipients for 2015 span 26 nations and represent a positive and inspiring evolution in design that is taking place around the world. The project will be featured in an exhibition at The Daniel Burnham Center in Chicago during the Chicago Biennial this fall. It will also be exhibited in the Contemporary Space in Athens, Greece in the spring of 2016.
