Kent State Center for Architecture and Environmental Design Receives 2018 MCHAP Outstanding Project Prize

Dirk Denison, the Director of the Mies Crown Hall Americas Prize (MCHAP) announced that WEISS/MANFREDI's Kent State Center for Architecture and Environmental Design in Kent, Ohio, is among the 2018 Outstanding Projects. The juried biennial prize acknowledges the best realized works of architecture in the Americas.

The Kent State Center for Architecture and Environmental Design is strategically sited between the campus and city, forging new connections between the University and recently revitalized downtown Kent. The 117,000-square-foot building establishes an innovative campus center for design disciplines and encourages interdisciplinary discourse and dialogue, as it unites all of the College of Architecture and Environmental Design's programs for the first time.

Coverage of the Prize is featured in archdaily.
