Brooklyn Botanic Garden Breaks Ground on Robert W. Wilson Overlook

BBG broke ground on the Robert W. Wilson Overlook, a 1.25 acre site with sweeping views of the Cherry Esplanade and Garden at large. This marks WEISS/MANFREDI's second collaboration with the Garden since the Diane H. and Joseph S. Steinberg Visitor Center opened in 2012.

WEISS/MANFREDI's design introduces an elegant switchback pathway that enhances the Garden's circulation at one of its most visited areas. The Overlook will be defined by flowering crape myrtle trees, a seasonal counterpoint to its iconic cherry blossom display. Grasses and perennials will combine to form a robust, resilient ecosystem that evolves over time.
