The New York Times Visits Hunter's Point South Waterfront Park

In May, The New York Times previewed the second phase of Hunter's Point South Waterfront Park, now open to the public. The coverage explores how Phase II completes the vision of the Park's masterplan. Introducing an acre of wetlands, Phase II recalls the site's pre-industrial history, and creates meandering pedestrian pathways that bring the community to the waterfront.

Hunter's Point South Waterfront Park features active and passive recreation spaces and creates a new resilient waterfront destination. The project is a collaboration between SWA/Balsley and WEISS/MANFREDI for the open space and park design, with Arup as the prime consultant and infrastructure designer.
