Fast Company's Innovation by Design Awards Honor Hunter's Point South Waterfront Park and Other News

Fast Company has selected Hunter's Point South Waterfront Park as the winner of the 2019 Innovation by Design Awards' Spaces, Places, and Cities category, which includes finalists and honorees such as Jewel Changi Airport, The Shed, and the National Veterans Memorial and Museum. This year's awards program received over 4,300 applications for categories ranging from user experience to fashion and beauty. More than 40 judges—including leaders from Google, Nike, Harvard, Adobe, and MoMA—selected 22 category winners. We are honored to be recognized along with co-designers SWA/Balsley for a project that pushes the boundaries of public space designed for environmental resilience, social impact, and beauty.

WEISS/MANFREDI has unveiled La Brea Loops and Lenses, our vision for reimagining the La Brea Tar Pits. View images and a trailer for the project on our website and vote for WEISS/MANFREDI in the public survey closing this week.

Construction is concluding on the Tulane University Commons and the Robert W. Wilson Overlook at the Brooklyn Botanic Garden, which will both open this fall.
