Robert W. Wilson Overlook Opens at Brooklyn Botanic Garden

On November 6, Brooklyn Botanic Garden opened the Robert W. Wilson Overlook to the public. The Overlook transforms a steeply sloped site into an immersive landscape, with an elegant switchback pathway and sculptural retaining walls that enhance the Garden's circulation. The new route encourages visitor engagement with BBG's landscape, extending the curvilinear geometries of the WEISS/MANFREDI-designed Diane H. and Joseph S. Steinberg Visitor Center.

The project's striking visual planes and ever-evolving landscape will add to the Garden's inherent drama through the four seasons. This creation of new communal gathering spaces and vantage points accessible to all levels of ability bring life to one of BBG's most extraordinary vistas. New York Magazine and Curbed New York covered the opening.
