Yesterday, The Maxine Platzer Lynn Women's Center at The University of Virginia announced Marion Weiss as one of the 2020 recipients of the Distinguished Alumnae Award. The award recognizes alumnae who have made significant, positive contributions in their respective fields and communities. Nancy Howell Agee, the CEO of the Carilion Clinic in Roanoke, Virginia, received the award alongside Weiss.

The first recipient from the School of Architecture, Weiss has made "architectural contributions [that] have not only been acknowledged for their aesthetic and experiential distinction, but for their enormous positive societal and civic impact," Dean Ila Berman, Edward E.
