Weiss/Manfredi Participate in Masks For Unity

This month, Marion Weiss and Michael Manfredi are participating in "Masks for Unity," an online silent auction organized by the Cultural Landscape Foundation (TCLF). From June 15, 2020 to June 29, 2020, TCLF will auction off white cotton masks that feature original designs from more than 40 architects, landscape architects, and other design professionals. For each mask created for the auction, a mask was made and donated to MASK UP in Charlottesville, Virginia and to essential workers. The auction will benefit TCLF's educational and advocacy initiatives.

Weiss and Manfredi's mask, entitled "The Horizon We Share," depicts a New York City skyline that features both an urban and natural horizon. "Our shared horizon connects us to nature, connects us to each other—if for now at a greater physical distance—and is robust enough in scale to endure," they said.
