Weiss/Manfredi to be featured in upcoming exhibition at MoMA

We are pleased to announce that The Museum of Modern Art has selected Hunter's Point South Waterfront Park to be featured in the inaugural installation of their new exhibition series Architecture Now: New York, New Publics, which will serve as platform to highlight groundbreaking projects in contemporary architecture. As the first of the series, the exhibition will explore the ways in which New York City-based practices have been actively expanding the relationship of metropolitan architecture to different publics. The show will be on view February 19th, 2023, through July 29, 2023.

Ranging from metropolitan parks and networks of public pools to local community gardens and virtual monuments for underrepresented publics, the projects highlighted in this exhibition envision a future in which architecture can play a vital role in shaping a city that is more accessible, sustainable, and equitable. In addition to SWA/Balsley and Weiss/Manfredi's design for Hunter's Point South Waterfront Park, Architecture Now: New York, New Publics will feature works by Adjaye Associates, Agency—Agency and Chris Woebken, CO Adaptive, James Corner Field Operations, Kinfolk Foundation, nArchitects, New Affiliates and Samuel Stewart-Halevy, Olalekan Jeyifous, Only If, Peterson Rich Office, and SO – IL.

Architecture Now: New York, New Publics will be accompanied by a series of public programs and digital features to expand the conversation beyond the walls of the Museum. To learn more visit the exhibition website here.
