Hunter's Point Receives Awards in Design and Civic Excellence

This month, Hunter's Point South Waterfront Park was recognized with two prestigious awards. Weiss/Manfredi, alongside SWA/Balsley and ARUP, was the recipient of New York City Public Design Commission's (PDC) Excellence in Design Award for its work at Hunter's Point South. Since 1983, the Public Design Commission has recognized outstanding public projects with this awards program. The winning projects are selected from the hundreds of submissions throughout New York City reviewed by the Commission the previous year.

Hunter's Point was also recognized with the Excellence in Civic Development Award from Urban Land Institute New York (ULI NY). This awards program recognizes, "outstanding development projects in the private, public, and nonprofit sectors across New York State that best exemplify ULI's commitment to responsible land use and creating sustainable, thriving communities."
