Marion Weiss and Michael Manfredi Win the 2013 Urban Edge Award

Marion Weiss and Michael Manfredi are the recipients of the 2013 URBAN EDGE AWARD given by the School of Architecture and Urban Planning at the University of Wisconsin Milwaukee. This biennial award honors an internationally recognized designer or firm whose work brings innovative thinking and effective strategies to transform the realm of urban design.

As recipients the award, Marion Weiss and Michael Manfredi will curate the Urban Edge Symposium "Evolutionary Infrastructure" at the UWM School of Architecture and Urban Planning in April 2013. The symposium will include a multidisciplinary panel of innovators in the fields of architecture, infrastructure, art, landscape, ecology, and urban design and a public keynote lecture delivered by Marion Weiss and Michael Manfredi. The UWM School of Architecture and Urban Planning introduced the biennial Urban Edge Award in 2006 to recognize excellence in urban design and the ability of individuals to create major, positive change within the public realm.
