Weiss/Manfredi Selected as Finalist for the Kent State College of Architecture and Environmental Design

WEISS/MANFREDI has been selected by Kent State University as one of four finalists in an international design competition for the College of Architecture and Environmental Design. The building, located on the University's new esplanade, will create dynamic new spaces for students, enhancing the academic experience and encouraging interdisciplinary collaboration. The new facility is a key component of Kent State's "Foundations of Excellence" campaign, a transformative vision to construct new buildings, create inspirational learning spaces, and enrich the community of Kent, Ohio. The building will be an embodiment of the excellence of the KSU Design College.

WEISS/MANFREDI is partnered with Richard L. Bowen Associates of Cleveland, Ohio. The other finalists are Architecture Research Office + Bialosky & Partners Achitects, The Miller Hull Partnership + The Collaborative Inc., and Westlake Reed Leskosky. Kent State is expected to announce the winner of the competition in February 2013.
