Brooklyn Botanic Garden Visitor Center Wins 2012 Best New Architecture in New York Observer
Brooklyn Botanic Garden Visitor Center was recently named Best New Architecture by the New York Observer. In the article "The 2012 Designer Dozen: New York's Best New Architecture is a celebration of Public Space," the winners are celebrated as being "sensible architecture for a wiser time." Of the Visitor Center, the Observer notes: "If the next century will be all about man learning to live with nature rather than fighting to conquer it, it is buildings like this that will show the way." Other notable projects include Four Freedoms Park by Louis Kahn, Brooklyn Bridge Park by MVVA, and Barclays Center by SHoP.
