NYC 2012: Olympic Rowing Facilities

New York City, the United States finalist to host the 2012 Summer Olympic Games, envisioned Flushing Meadows Corona Park as a center for Olympic ceremonies and rowing events.

The design includes the Olympic whitewater and flat-water rowing venues, and transforms the pre-existing infrastructure and underutilized remnant landscapes of the 1939 and '64 World’s Fairs, unifying Flushing Meadows Corona Park with a new recreational and ecological landscape.
